DIY BUNTING:

Holiday waste is on our minds a lot lately, which is why we love this idea for repurposing all that wrapping paper from Christmas. Reuse fancy, non-recyclable wrapping paper (especially foiled and metallic paper) and ribbon to create a festive party decorations. After all, New Year's Eve is right around the corner!

Pick a few complimentary wrapping paper scraps, cut into triangles and attach to a string. There are a few ways to construct your bunting. For ours, we simply folded over the top 1/2 inch of our triangles, trimmed the corners so they don't show, and taped the folded edge over a leftover piece of gold ribbon. If your ribbon scraps are not long enough, tie strands together and hide the knots behind a triangle. You could also string them with a needle and embroidery floss or use a stapler to attach the flags to a wider ribbon.
