Chinese New Year Kids Craft Party

Kung Hee Fat Choy! Today, the lunar new year, we welcome Year of the Horse.

Wrappily and friends got in the spirit of Chinese new year with a crafting extravaganza last weekend. Moms, dads, and kids worked together to create the symbols of the season: lanterns, drums, lions, firecrackers and horses. We followed with a good luck lunch of noodles (for long life), tangerines (for wealth and luck), and almond cookies (to bring sweetness to our lives.) What a fun way to spend the morning with friends!

Please, we encourage you to take these ideas and create a Chinese New Year party of your own!

This event was this first in a series of Wrappily pop-up events. We had the good fortune of being hosted by Maui Thing, a warm, welcoming and community-minded store in Wailuku that carries local designs and fresh clothing for kids and adults. If you are in the area, stop in and throw them a shaka for us!
